Services Overview
HardSkills offers 5 types of service:
- training - from one-day courses to programmes extending over several days. Typically our courses involve delegates accessing materials online through our LMS system. For instance, links to videos, podcasts, documents or websites. The LMS enables us to 'hit the ground running' on conventional face-to-face training days and post-course helps to embed learning through reinforcement. Assignments, assessments, a discussion forum and conferencing can all be integrated through the LMS.
- Our training style is involving and participatory, with a focus on learning by doing and in a way that enables delegates to transfer learning back to the workplace.
- course design - we are happy to develop courses for use by your own internal staff. In such cases we would normally produce PowerPoint slides (we tend to make these as graphic as possible - images are retained much more than bullet-points), activity worksheets and delegate packs, a trainer's manual and pre and post-course materials. A train-the-trainer course would also normally be run.
- facilitation - the nature of our expertise - strategy, marketing and finance - means that often organisations are looking for a specific outcome such as the creation of a marketing strategy or business plan. In such cases, we can help facilitate discussions, providing guidance as to process and an objective perspective.
- hybrid - this is a combination of services. The most common example is the training, to provide managers with knowledge, combined with facilitation to help apply the knowledge and possibly the development of templates or guidelines for future use. This may also be complemented by on-the-job individual coaching.
- consultancy - from research into potential markets through to recommendations on brand development, HardSkills undertakes consulting assignments and is bound by the Institute of Management Consultancy's Code of Conduct.
